New logo !

It's been a while since I considered my logo and I found my old one quite aged, plus I felt like I changed my "style" ( if you'd like to call it that way ) quite a lot, so I thought it's the right time to come up with something slightly different. I'm not quite sure what's gonna be my next step, but at the moment this feels like the right thing to do, so I hope you like it : )

Aaaaand another portrait

Messing around and cleaning up after, exploring and getting lost, experimenting and getting big bang out of it, learning and failing...then exhausted falling into the depths of armchair...

Hope you like it

Thanks

Strange things happen

Ok, guys, this is something I've been working on for last two weeks. I have to say it's been delightful cooperation with a client, they were very helpful and we kept in touch for the whole time, discussing all the details and anything I was interested in, I just asked the question and got an answer immediately.  Unfortunately what originally was meant to be a cover for a photo book had been turned into T-shirt design. It's all about this guy, Kamil Holan, who won The Isle Of Man TT Newcomer's 2012. It's the first Czech guy ever who won this and it took some balls to do it, so thumbs up for this racer, it's a hell of a success.

And the T-shirt designs:

Little water colours practice

  1. I did this as a preparation of something I would love to do in a bigger scale and different media, most likely  acrylics.

And the final

I just realized how much time I spent on this, while there is something else I should be working on right now. However it was a good exercise, that should help me with my current project. Of course I could spend lot more time on it and I wouldn't call it perfect, but hey, I did it for the fun of it. Hope you like it!

Here's a slightly different version with rather grungy edges. What do you think? I'd still prefer the top one.

Thanks

Shaun...

...of the dead
I was gonna do a poster for this film ages ago, when it came out but never got myself to do it. Couple of days ago I went through my DVD collection ( yes, some of us still keep DVDs, even in the age of downloads : ) and found SOTD.  I couldn't resist and watched it right away and few days later it made me sit down and actually do it. This is just one of the first roughs, there's still lot of work to be done on this.
Thanks.

And the process...

This time I didn't go for a digital and for the first time I tried analogue process, both painting and capturing the image. It was a bit of mission with my camera, but in the end I persuaded it to cooperate and give out all the footage, so here it is :) sorry about the bad lighting conditions, my desk is not exactly what I would call perfect :)
Thanks!
O.
I though I would get back to water colours, as I left them behind for some while and I definitely need some practice, so here we are: the portrait of a beautiful friend of mine, Zarrina, hope you like it!
Thanks!

Quick portrait sketch...

...of my beautiful cousin. I used one of her photos for a reference. The only thing I changed / added was the butterfly, her pose just suggested there should be something on her hand she's looking at. I bet she could be a great model for portraits. Gotta get some more photos of her and develop it in more detail, definitely work more on it with advanced media, not just Copic Pens and ProMarkers, like I used for this particular one. Also I would like to leave the realistic looking style and go for more abstract feel.
Hope you like it :)
Thanks

Little insight of the previous image...

..I thought it would be fun to create a little time lapse video of this image, so here it is:
    Cupid - making of

Things don't always go according to a plan...

...so we have to find a way to deal with it. Therapy by work I call it. It was gardening, major deep cleaning of a house...just about anything to keep us busy not thinking about what lets us down so much. And of course drawing is a part of it. Sometimes words can't explain everything entirely, sometimes the more we talk the less sense it makes, so maybe the creative way is the right one. Anyway, here's my little contribution to relationships, to all the people in love as well as to everyone who's heart-broken. Thanks

Forgotten Corner

Once upon a time, there was this assignment. It was given to us by...well us. We are trying to start to run this collective, bunch of people working together, supporting each other, but more importantly giving ourselves a weekly, fortnightly or monthly based projects, challenges, or whatever you want to call it. I'm more than happy this is actually going on for it keeps us going and not to get stuck in one place. This one was actually quite difficult one for me, as I got a little outside of this thing assignment and now have to get on with it, but luckily Im just like the postman, always delivers. There's a little peak of the process as well, not a rocket science, but you'll get the idea. Hope you like it! Thanks!

Logo

New screenprint design I used for my current logo, business cards and postcards. I didn't want it to become just one of the dull images, I rather wanted it to be a bit of fun as well.

Tennis players in context

Tennis posters

Series of screenprints I originally planned for the Roland Garros French Open in May, but then focused on Tennis games during the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Death posters

Finals for the Death project, A3 format screenprints.

London 2012

Little tests of London skyline, one of them purely digital, trying to keep the shapes as simple as possible, the other one drawn with pen and ink.

Little contribution to a Czech Republic National Ice Hockey Team

Czech Republic is playing a semi-final game against Slovakia tonight as a part of the Ice hockey World Championship in Helsinki. I used an image that I created for a different purpose and re-worked the text. Now it could work as a banner nicely. Good luck and let them have it!
